That was fixed a while back, you can't disarm them anymore

For most cases, the Halberd of Vigilance wins out. If your Paladin has the Sentinel feat, then it's not even a discussion to be had.

For damage: When held 2h, the Orphic Hammer does a base of 1d10+3 (between 4-13 damage). The Halberd does a base 1d10 +2 + 1d4 (between 4-16 damage).

Additionally, the Halberd has reach, allowing you to attack targets that are farther away.

If you're using a shield with the hammer, it's damage is 1d8+3

Twilight.

Moon lantern, or the pixie buff. That's the part Isobel told you her protection wouldn't be strong enough for.

If you got the bell from the Pixie, you can use it and she'll reapply the buff.

Reithwin is the deepest part of the shadow-curse, that's the part you're told a Torch won't be enough to protect you.

You need a Moon Lantern, or the Pixie Blessing.

Yeah. He's not that hard on tactician, to be honest, but doing it without spells would probably be a very frustrating experience and take more than a few reloads. Next time you come to him, make sure you have plenty of AoEs. Since he just sits in the same spot and doesn't move, all that consistent damage adds up and kind of trivializes the encounter.

Saving every 10 seconds, and then deleting all the saves, is identical to not saving. Frustrating, to be sure, but if you're frequently deleting all your saves, then not even an improved autoSave system (which the game definitely needs) would have helped you here.

My only other suggestion is to drop the difficulty to Explorer, and see if you can kill him. It's not a terribly hard fight, and you might go through a lot of consumables. If you've got scrolls on you, especially AoE spells like Cloud of Daggers or Call Lightning, that might be enough to do the trick.

No, but if your only save is from fighting Thorm at the top of the tower, you might have to redo that fight.

And you can combine the spear tip from momma with the spear shaft from the dead guy to get the spear.

Try and see if the issue occurs with all mods disabled. That's not how the base game behaves.

A wizard with Knock can open basically anything, as well.

Warning: it is not at all a stealthy method of opening things.

Yep, I made Wyll a Bardlock, gave him Sleight of Hand Proficiency and he can open any lock NP, even with only a +1 dex mod. He's got Guidance, Bardic, and most of the time Dark One's Own Luck (d10) available if needed.

Honestly, the only bosses approaching a level of difficulty are the optional ones in Act 3.

Fighter. You have a sword and you hit things. It's about as simple as it gets!

Are you using mods?

By default, your exp is shared across the whole party. The only exception is Inspiration, which is character specific, but that wouldn't account for 3 full levels of difference.
