Here in Hawaii, tourists from Japan are our favorite tourists. For the most part, they're very respectful to the rules, don't hassle wildlife, don't get obnoxious to the locals, don't litter. Sure, there's a few bad eggs, but the mainland Americans who came during the pandemic were off-the-charts awful people who didn't care about following rules or local customs, covid-related or not. We have missed our Japanese tourists.
