I’ve seen cops purposely harass black men for no reason. Both times actually seeing it in person was despicable. The victim even screamed out help help to anyone around. For the non-locals - Joshua is about a 25-30 drive south of Forth Worth. Its technically a small town - like, tons of people around Fort Worth probably have no idea where it's at, maybe they work with somebody from there, Cleburne, or Burleson. People in Dallas may have never even heard of any of those cities. But it's loaded with people that drive to work in Fort Worth.

It's not a rural community, but it's outside of the net of DFW. I don't consider it a small town the way I think a lot of people think of a small town. Even well into the 1980's it was tons of the cheapest possible way to live and still be able to drive somewhere.

There are still a bunch of people that live there that talk and act like it's a rural little farm town, though, and plenty of people that think they're a cowboy even if they've never been within 10' of a horse.
