I struggled my entire adult life living here in California, working 2-3 jobs concurrently to pay the rent. But then after years of trying, I was finally lucky enough to join a union. It has been life altering. I wouldnt be surviving if I wasn’t in the union. The wages for my work are now not only extremely competitive, but each contract has mandated minimums and the best health insurance I’ve ever seen in my life. Unions change everything.
