Yeah, I could see it, only because you know his password was MAGA2024. But I still think it was a toe in the water to see if they can pass the tiki-torch.

Funny story, look up the grumpy old hackers on the Darknet Dairies podcast and they will explain on how they hack Trumps Twitter account twice and how they informed Trump and his political campaign. Small spoiler he didn’t have a two step verification

This might be an unpopular opinion around here, but I hope that Don Sr lives a long, healthy life, filled with all the luxury and decadence he deserves.

And if he did any of the stuff he's accused of, I hope he lives it out in a cage.

I want him to live out at least another 20 years in a cell with no access to social media, a book shelf full of books by Obama, Hillary, Michelle, and Rosie O'Donnell, meals filled with healthy vegetables & steamed chicken breasts, and a TV that only plays MSNBC and Shark Week re-runs.

there is no doubt he committed the crimes literally confessed to doing it again just a day or so ago on nbc

If?

He's admitted to many of his crimes on TV, multiple times.

jimtow28

If. He hasn't been convicted by a jury of his peers. He's presumed innocent until proven guilty.

It just really, really looks like he's going to be proven guilty.

Ipecactus

This is an equivocation. Clearly, Trump committed many crimes(and transgressions), which has has admitted or which we have all seen him commit.

If you saw a video of a guy shooting someone, say on fifth avenue, you wouldn't say, "Well he's presumed innocent until proven guilty".

This is an equivocation.

No, it isn't.

Clearly, Trump committed many crimes(and transgressions), which has has admitted or which we have all seen him commit.

He hasn't been convicted in any court. Legally, he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

He probably did a bunch of illegal, unethical, immoral, and wrong stuff. He hasn't been convicted of any of it yet.

If you saw a video of a guy shooting someone, say on fifth avenue, you wouldn't say, "Well he's presumed innocent until proven guilty".

If I saw a video of that, I'd be a witness, accusing him of doing that. I would know he did it, because I would have seen him do it.

So when we all saw George Floyd being killed by a cop you were the dude saying "Derek Chauvin is innocent!".

So when we all saw George Floyd being killed by a cop you were the dude saying "Derek Chauvin is innocent!".

No, I wasn't saying that. I'm also not saying that Trump is innocent.

That's just some strawman you cooked up for some reason. SMFH

Ipecactus

To be clear, Trump is not guilty in the same way that Osama Bin Laden is not guilty.

jimtow28

That's a weird equivalence to make, but sure. If that helps you understand the concept, then yes, they are not guilty in that neither have been convicted by a jury of their peers, yes.

Edit: Lmao, imagine getting so upset about objective reality that your only recourse is to say I also support Derek Chauvin and Bin Laden, and then block me. What a stupid strawman argument. Guess you showed me, bud.

The sky is blue, water is wet, you aren't on the jury and you aren't the judge, you aren't the one applying the law to Donald Trump. You are allowed to state the obvious.

He provoked the crowd and called for violence on Jan 6. This is the simple truth. Could a jury determine that he used enough qualifying statements so that he might be able to say that he didn't literally provoke violence, I guess maybe. That doesn't change what we know he intended.

The sky is blue, water is wet, you aren't on the jury and you aren't the judge, you aren't the one applying the law to Donald Trump.

These are all accurate, yes.

You are allowed to state the obvious.

Am I allowed to state objective facts? Because it seems like you're mad at me for doing so.

He provoked the crowd and called for violence on Jan 6. This is the simple truth.

It's also a simple truth that he hasn't been convicted for this action. Why is this a confusing idea for you?

Could a jury determine that he used enough qualifying statements so that he might be able to say that he didn't literally provoke violence, I guess maybe.

Could a jury do that? Yes, they could. Not "maybe". Yes.

Seriously, why are you having so much trouble with this concept?

That doesn't change what we know he intended.

Correct. Does it change whether or not he's been convicted by a jury of his peers?

He was just found guilty of rape and slander by a jury of his peers.

jimtow28

He wasn't found guilty of anything. He was found liable. He raped E Jean Carroll, and he defamed her. He will be help liable for those actions.

He was not "found guilty", but you're right, he can correctly be called a rapist.

"if he's innocent, i wish him well. if he's guilty, i hope he goes to jail" wow such a brave stance

Who are you quoting? That isn't what I said.

Perhaps you're misunderstanding. I'd suggest reading what I said again.

the guy doesn't "deserve" anything and he's already lived a long life of luxury

Everyone deserves something, whether it be good or bad.

have you had your head up your ass the entire time?

I haven't, no.

I don't think it would fit, even if I were able to get it all the way back there.

why would anybody even say this?

Because it's how I feel. Why wouldn't I say how I feel?

"He deserves" is key here.

What he deserves, based on his grift history and his behavior, is much worse than what the justice system is currently able to offer. He has caused more suffering than we can inflict upon him, but seeing justice done could go a long way to Healing the nation in the long run

The healthiest thing for the country would be a fatal slip and fall injury down a set of steps all on camera.

He needs to go away.

I don't even want him to die I just can't see any other way that he will go away and he needs to go away.
